Misfire after high oil consumption – Holed exhaust valve requiring full engine rebuild from just £925 with ourselves.
Misfire – If it’s cold and/or damp check your HT lead insulators, where the lead enters the tin body, these can crack and perish causing the internals of the lead to breakdown with the ingress of moisture.
White/Blue Smoke – Failed turbine shaft oil seals/bearings resulting in oil being passed via induction system to the inlet rail where it’s sent to the cylinders to be burnt off, check the top intercooler hose where it meets the throttle body for excessive oil pooling.
Misfire Under Load Only (smooth tickover) – Usually a coil pack breaking down, remove HT leads from the coil packs, usually one wil be welded in place where it’s been arcing out.
Remote Locking Faulty – Operating the key fob results in the indicators flashing NINE times requires the key(s) recoding to the vehicle, both the car and the key(s) are required for this and it’s £48 in our workshops plus £1.20 per mile travel for mobile service.
Operating the key fob results in nothing happening could mean that your key battery is dead, your key fob is faulty or even your remote receiver is faulty or specifically in a Roadster, wet, both the car and the key(s) are required for this and it’s £48 for a recode, £99 for a replacement key fob programmed or £99 for a replacement receiver once faulted in our workshops plus £1.20 per mile travel for mobile service.
Windscreen Wipers Do Not Switch Off – a specific Roadster issue needing a replacement wiper motor to be fitted.
698cc Fortwo or Roadster Engine Cuts Out – from £60 per hour, usually fully fixable within 2 hours on a Fortwo and 3 hours on a Roadster.
